- We aim at reducing the total of Scope 1 and 2 in Japan by 57% at the end of FY2031 compared to FY2021 levels. Scope 1 emissions are direct emissions from in-house fuel use. Scope 2 emissions are indirect emissions from electric power we buy and heat.
- In FY2024, we began calculating data for Scope 3 (indirect emissions other than Scope 1 and 2 [emissions from other companies related to our business activities]) in Japan and Scope 1 and 2 overseas. In FY2025, we disclosed Scope 1 and 2 data overseas and conducted interviews at each overseas location to analyze emissions and consider reduction methods.

Target: 57% reduction compared to FY2021 by the end of FY2031*

*The target figures were revised in May 2025 in consideration of Net sales growth through the end of FY2031
- Scope2 has been reduced by switching to renewable energy in FY2023 and will continue to be reduced.

*Calculations for overseas offices began in FY2024.
*Regarding the FY2024 result of overseas, WEMO AUTOMATION AB's results are for only nine months.
Since April 2022, we have been working to introduce green electricity in Japan through the purchase of electricity derived from renewable energy and self-consumption of solar power.
As a result, the proportion of renewable energy in the electricity used at all our domestic facilities has reached over 99%. The annual electricity consumption of all our domestic facilities is approximately 2.4 million kWh, and the greenhouse gas reduction effect of this initiative is approximately 800 t-CO2e per year.
We will continue to review facilities not yet using renewable energy and aim to achieve a 100% renewable energy ratio.
Gradual Transition to Environmentally Friendly Vehicle (hybrid vehicles)
In March 2022, we have decided to gradually switch to environmentally friendly vehicles (hybrid vehicles).
We have set a target of 77% hybrid vehicle adoption by the end of FY2031. We will promote further environmental friendliness through the active introduction of hybrid vehicles and our existing efforts to promote eco-driving.
Target 77% (FY2031)
Actual 6% (FY2022) → 46% (FY2025)
